1. Keep an Identification tag on dog at all times, include your cell phone number
2. Keep first time on the boat brief and fun, acclimate to the boat before an overnight/long trip
3. Practice Dog Overboard plan, make all onboard aware of their role, even if it’s “Stay out of the way!”

9. Safety boarding boat-practice lifting dog over, consider a ramp
